Intro to After Effects: Motion Graphic Workflow Tips

Sadly there wasn't that much to go on. Most of the exercise files were to old for the system to handle. The first two lessons that I could do was pretty simple. You can change the object in a scene with another and the animation will still be there. All you do is to select the new object, hold ALT, and drag it to the old object. Finally you can fix the animation by simply moving the tabs down below.    You can also edit one composition and it will be changed in the other composition. If you move one set of objects or add new ones, the composition holding those objects will reprogram and add to the change.

After you are done, you take your scenes to Render Que and set up where you want it when you're done, and what file it will be.       After that you it render and wait till its done. How long it will take depends the resolution and time of the scenes.

Intro to After Effects: 3D Geometry

Creating a 3D object is pretty simple, all you have to do is make your shape then push a button to get your 3D object.

Intro to After Effects: Basic After Effects 3D

You can add lights and a camera in the scene. Add the lights just right, you make it look exciting or spooky. With cameras, you can easily animate it by add one frame to it, then moving it to another frame for a rotation.         You can add effects to the shapes or objects to their shadows. You can make a metal, shiny or simple default shadows. You can move the compositions just right to make that one objects can have a shadow while the other doesn't.       You add a null to a group of objects to easily move it. Just put the null in the place you want, select all the objects, parent it to the parents. So after you can move it as you please.        You can also attach a camera to a null object. Once you parent them together, if you move the null, the camera will follow the path.

Intro to After Effects: Working with Type

Not only can you make shapes in AE, you create text as well. You change their size, font, how their spaced out, or if they have bolds or not.         You can also add effects to the texts, you make appear or disappear anyway you want them too. You can make them fade in, pop in, move into place, or simply take in the next scene.         You can also create text and morph them following a shape. All you have to do is create a mask and parent it to them.
