Intro to After Effects: Working with Shape Layer
The first process was to teach us how to create a shape in After Effects and how easily we move it around. Both using a mouse and animating it.
Then they show us how to create a path tool, with a path tool, you can make a stick then morph it into the way you want it. How easily you can copy and rotate objects, like the petals.
The other bright side of path tools is that you can animate it easily from the bottom to the top. You can also separate animations on the same shape: for instance the petals and it's borders.
Finally, they teach you how to morph the shapes into the way you want it. One way is you can is first to select the shape so when you make a new shape, you create a mask. A mask can either subtract part of the shape or hide it for the time being. You can add attachments to them by clicking on the add button. For example Zig Zag and Wiggle. A bonus is that it animates for you too if you want.
